Middle Grounds Grill Post Hurricane Awesomeness

After several months of post hurricane repairs and renovations, and an additional brief closure for a new roof May 12th – May 20th, 2025. Middle Grounds Grill, located 10925 Gulf Blvd, in Treasure Island is now fully open, and better than ever, with full menu, bar, dining room, and outside dining also.

Middle Grounds Grill has been serving Treasure Island with the best steaks and seafood since 2006, and has been family owned and operated since 1971 as Robby’s Pancake House prior to the opening of Middle Grounds Grill.

With multiple generations of local ties to the Gulf beaches and deep sea fishing, Middle Grounds Grill is able to provide the freshest and highest quality seafood available. Their awesome bartenders have been serving Middle Grounds Grill with the best martinis and craft cocktails for nearly 2 decades, along with over 150 select wines to choose from, and offer a “Wine Lover’s Wednesday” 1/2 price bottled wine special (up to $200) every Wednesday.

Middle Grounds Grill has something for everyone Including: certified Angus beef steaks, lamb shank, pastas, delicious gluten free menu, nightly fresh features, and much more! If you see Chilean Seabass or Hogfish dishes on their nightly features, they’re a must get and some of my favorite chef creations! Their portobello mushroom is a must try appetizer also! Middle Grounds Grill is Open TuesdaySunday at 4:30 pm and offers nightly happy hour specials along with their daily dinner features. They have Happy Hour in the bar from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm and offer an early dinner menu from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. With Live Entertainment Every Night!! (Tuesday-Sunday)

Middle Grounds Grill’s extensive history of serving Treasure Island the most savory and delectable dishes, only made hurricane Helene’s devastation and closure a greater loss for many whom regularly enjoyed their amazing food, drinks and incredible ambiance. Their awesome family values were demonstrated when despite going through their own devastation, extensive renovations and personal losses, they held benefit events in their outside patio for their staff. Although they were unable to serve their fabulous food, they had live music, select wine, gift cards, raffles, t-shirts and Robby’s iconic pancake mix available while raising money and collecting donations for their staff. It was a heartwarming experience to see how Middle Grounds Grill came together for not only their staff, but for all their local regulars that needed the community fellowship while also dealing with the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Despite all the hurricane destruction, Middle Grounds Grill spared no expense with their renovations, and looks better than ever, as depicted below.

Although saddened that their gorgeous tropical fish collection didn’t survive the hurricanes and long electrical outages am pleased to see their newest editions: Nemo, Dory and Friends.

Despite all the hurricane devastation, Treasure Island’s Beach is back to being one of the most gorgeous Florida beaches just feet from Middle Grounds Grill, and am grateful to enjoy the incredible ambiance of Middle Grounds Grill’s awesome renovations and reopening.

Unfortunately, many Gulf beach residents are still without livable homes, while many businesses have yet to reopen, including: Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, and St Pete Beach USPS locations. Despite their intentions to be reopened by the end of May, they are unfortunately still closed in all 3 locations. The Don CeSar reopened March 26th, while Thunderbird Beach Resort recently announced it’s upcoming demolition with plans to rebuild.

St Pete Beach and Pasadena Wells Fargo locations are still closed. Wells Fargo’s Pasadena location is projecting a reopening date in July, however their St Pete Beach location will remain closed indefinitely.

Treasure Island’s Chase Bank location is still closed while their St Pete Beach and Madeira Beach locations are open. Unfortunately, they are unsure of the reopening date for their Treasure Island location. However, based on the photo taken June 4th 2025 (as shown below), Treasure Island’s Chase bank location is still completely gutted. Therefore, won’t be anytime soon!

Fortunately, Chase Bank in Treasure Island has added an ATM while their interior restorations are still underway.

Although Treasure Island and their surrounding Gulf beaches have a ways to go, grateful that Middle Grounds Grill has been back serving the Gulf beaches with the best steak and seafood available.
